This script is for anyone who would like to quickly browse the DigitalXModels inventory without ever leaving 3dsMax. But it is especially useful for DigitalXModels customers who have purchased one or more model collections because you can then also merge or open files with a single click.

To use this script first select the model collections you would like to browse. Then for each collection you check a new rollout will appear where you can view a list of each model within those collections. There are four buttons available for each model:

P - View a preview image
M - Merge the model into your scene
O - Open the model as a new scene
H - Hyperlink to the product on our website

Obviously, in order to use the merge or open commands you need to have purchased those items. In the panel that lists the collections is a "Set Path" button where you can point to the folder that contains the mesh files from that collection. Once this is set, the little "light" next to the button will change from red to green. The folder paths are stored in an .INI file so that you will not need to reenter this information (unless you move the files at a later time). Also, each button has tooltips with an explanation or other info, such as polygon counts or pricing.
